Iron Reduction

When water is drawn from ground which has iron bearing strata the supply can often look perfectly clear until exposed to the atmosphere. The oxygen from the atmosphere aids the precipitation of the iron from solution and results in very annoying deposits of iron which can stain sanitary ware and laundry as well as looking unsightly.

There are rarely any health issues with drinking water high in iron.

Following a water analysis we are able to recommend the correct type and size of equipment to deal with the problem.

High Iron levels can also cause fouling of water softening resins.  For moderate iron levels we have particular water softeners which will easily soften and remove the iron staining from the supply with just with one piece of equipment, killing 2 birds with one stone!
