When the ions are removed from water it is described as ‘De-ionised’ ( or DI water).
There are complicated systems available which use split resin beds to deal with Anion and Cations but require hazardous Caustic Soda and Hydrochloric acid for regeneration.
For users who wish to avoid the problems associated with chemical handling then Reverse Osmosis followed by a ‘mixed resin bed’ will give adequate volumes of De-ionised water with little attention from the operator.
We will be pleased to specify a system to suit your exact needs.
For smaller users of DI water then a cartridge unit which uses a 10″ standard cartridge incorporating a colour change indicator to signal exhaustion, may be sufficient.
This cartridge system is ideal for garage workshops, electric forklift operators, laboratories, fine art restorers.
The cartridge is not food grade!
